My home
I love my apartment, the location is great close to stores and various restaurants. The management and staff are friendly, ... maintenance has always taken care of any problems that I have had in a timely manner. I love the pool, however the fire pit doesn't work most of the time, but still nice area to gather with friends. The only thing that really bothers me is that rent has gone up every year and makes it hard on people on a fixed income, however I do understand that alot of other apartments don't have the amenities that we do and cost more and their location isn't as great, but ease up on raising it every year. The Shores of Rosevelt park is a great place to live .Love the staff they have been awesome they are always welcoming and ... the maintenance is quick to respond to your repair request .The apartment is a perfect space for me. Great value for the price as well . I'm on the first floor and its quiet .. Parking is also great glad they have carports and the most important is that I feel safe here.. we are so close to restaurants and stores we can even walk to them . I came to the Shores for my scheduled tour with Jenn. I looked at their model unit and it was nice, the location is great. ... Lived here for a year and it’s been great. The office staff is very helpful with whatever I need. I like coming on the weekends ... when Jenns working. She’s understanding and puts a smile on even when she has 10 people lined up out the door. She always give 100% of her attention to each person. Awesome Attentive Staff
The staff here is awesome! I have never had an issue with my apartment that wasn't dealt with immediately and in a professional ... manner. I will also mention that the reason I moved to this community was because of Shannon. I checked into other communities, but Shannon was by far the most helpful of all representatives. All places were basically comparable in price an amenities, so my choice was based on the friendliness of the staff representing the company. Shannon was helpful, courteous an extremely friendly. not impressed with new owners
The Shores was recently sold. I am not impressed with the new owners. This used to be an affordable place to live but the ... new owners are nickel and dime-ing us to death. Amenities that used to be included with our rent we have to pay extra for. For example 1) Rent increased by 20.00 per month. 2) They now charge for garbage/trash. I don't know of another apartment complex who does this. 3) I used to get a free carport. Now it's another 10.00 per month. This is despite the fact that there are not enough parking spaces to go around if everyone in my building decided not to use the carports. 4) it used to be that you only needed to make twice the rent amount per month to qualify. Now it's 3 times the amount. I wasn't sure I was going to get a lease for another year because of this. Who knows if I will have to move when my lease is up next year. 5) Pet deposits went up. Pet rent went up from 20.00 per month to 30.00. This pet rent is one of the highest in the area now. 6) Now I've heard that they are going to start charging for water! Unless each apartment has it's own water meter, which we don't, there is no way they know how much water I use. I don't even do laundry here so I save them money in water. God only knows what else they can figure out to charge us extra for. They make it hard to budget, let alone afford, to live here when they keep tacking on fees so they can get more money. Most of the air conditioners are very old and cost a fortune to run. Housekeeping of the common areas has been terrible. They haven't been cleaned in weeks. Very nice place for a first apartment. It is in a convient location near gas stations, food area and the stores. However, ... I was a little disappointed when we didn't get a full range in the kitchen or a dishwasher but other than that for the price of rent the apartment is a nice spacious home. The management team and the mantinence crew are always helpful in answering questions or fixing problems and concerns. My only real complaints are the noise and the parking. Noise wise the walls are thin, it is easy to hear the upstairs neighbors using the shower and hear people talking or watching TV through the walls. It's kind of disturbing at some points. As for parking, I like the car ports but I don't think there is enough parkimg because sometimes people don't even park in parking spots. I feel like the complex does a great job with including amenities although I wish centeral air was a thing because even with the AC on all day in the living room and 2 fans going all day in the bedroom it's still extremely hot in the apartment during the summer. The two years we have been here have been pleasant. Maintenance is kind, and the office is willing to work with you on issues that may arise to living in large apartment. The pool is nice when it's hot. There are AC units that haven't cost us an arm and a leg to run. The winters are just right. The grounds are well kept. Overall a good experience.
